1) Strict screening of blood donors to avoid high-risk individuals from donating blood.

2) Encourage drug users who cannot detoxify to use non-injection methods for drug delivery and to avoid sharing syringes with others.

3) Use disposable syringes in medical units and ensure strict disinfection of medical instruments.

4) Promote monogamous relationships, encourage regular check-ups for individuals with a history of promiscuity, and provide education on Hepatitis C prevention to adolescents. It is also advisable for the spouses or sexual partners of Hepatitis C patients to use condoms.

5) Hepatitis C can be transmitted within families. Therefore, family members should avoid sharing razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and hairstyling tools. However, sharing meals and utensils in general does not pose a risk of infection.

6) Hepatitis C virus can be transmitted through the placenta and during childbirth. Therefore, mothers with negative Hepatitis C virus RNA during pregnancy should avoid amniocentesis and minimize the chances of the fetus and newborn coming into contact with maternal blood during delivery. Antiviral drugs should be used before pregnancy.

7) Thoroughly disinfect puncture needles and medical instruments.
