减少进食感光蔬菜以保护皮肤
许多人 may not fully understand what photosensitive vegetables are. Vegetables such as celery, cilantro, and white radish are considered "photosensitive" due to their content of photosensitive substances. Excessive consumption of these vegetables can make the skin more prone to developing dark spots. Therefore, during the summer, it is advisable to consume more fruits and vegetables that inhibit pigment deposition, such as kiwi, strawberries, tomatoes, oranges, and broccoli.
Vitamin C effectively combats dark spots
As most people know, Vitamin C is an excellent natural whitening and skin-nourishing agent. It is also an effective remedy for combating dark spots. Of course, sun protection is essential, and Vitamin C-rich fruits like oranges, berries, and grapefruits should be consumed regularly. Alternatively, you can use products that supplement Vitamin C. Incorporating fruits and vegetables rich in Vitamin C into your diet is the best way to ensure adequate intake.
Prepare your sunshade in advance
A sunshade is an essential "companion" for summer skincare, especially during travel.
It is essential to note that the quality of sunshades on the market varies. When making a purchase, check if there is a label inside the umbrella indicating that it is UV-resistant, meaning it genuinely provides protection against ultraviolet rays. Alternatively, opt for a dual-purpose umbrella that can shield you from both rain and UV rays.
Apply sunscreen in advance
Sunscreen products usually do not take immediate effect upon application. Most of them require around 30 minutes to activate their UV filtering properties.
Ensure you apply a sufficient amount of sunscreen, using a quantity equivalent to a hazelnut for half of your face. Reapply every two hours evenly. Moreover, pay special attention to areas prone to pigmentation, such as the forehead, nose, neck, shoulders, and ears, and apply extra sunscreen protection.
